TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
Safety
Here is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It does inform your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
